Welcome to Green Venture Partners

We work with innovative companies and entrepreneurs to help develop commercial clean energy opportunities globally.

Our primary focus is wind, solar, and bio-energy infrastructure projects in Australia, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

We work with small-medium sized independent power producers (IPP) to secure project funding and market offtake solutions for clean energy projects ranging from 100kW to 60MW.

We also provide consulting services for clients looking for opportunities to invest in the Australian clean energy market by sourcing projects, conducting due diligence and developing strategies for them.

Through our various commercial arrangements with our partners, we are able to deliver value to projects in a number of ways including sourcing projects, financial modelling, obtaining market off-take agreements, securing engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors.

We do not focus of new technology, but rather proven technology looking to reduce their project cost of capital, as clean energy's levelised cost of energy starts to reach parity with coal and gas through different mechanisms such as Australia's REC and Carbon Tax/Emissions Trading Scheme start to take shape.

Our criteria for working with clients is a solid project, a team with a track record and an ability to work towards getting a market offtake agreement.

Wind Energy Sites in Victoria

South Australia is now generating 26% of its electricity with wind power

Why wind is cutting energy costs

The most common critique of wind energy, and renewables in general, in the mainstream media and anywhere the issue is discussed is that it is expensive.

The problem is, this is only half true. Or at least, it only tells half the story. While the levelised cost of energy from wind farms is higher than that of baseload coal and gas, the deployment of wind energy here and overseas is having a surprising impact on energy market prices: it is causing them to fall.
